MaxIron Change Control

Every regulated industry asks the same question at audit time: who changed what, when, on whose say-so. MaxIron Change Control gives you that answer for every change going into Maximo, with proper approval flow, role-based segregation of duties, and an evidence trail you can hand straight to an auditor.

Approver reviewing a Maximo change with full evidence trail visible

What it does for you

  • Maximo-aware approvals: configuration, scripts, integrations, deployments — by tenant and environment
  • Role-based segregation of duties built in
  • Audit-ready evidence trail you can hand straight to an auditor
  • Integrates with your existing ITSM rather than replacing it
  • Fast lane for routine, low-risk changes; full scrutiny for the rest
  • Acts as the production gate for Pipelines and higher-impact Autoheal playbooks

Where it fits in your Maximo programme

Change Control is the governance layer of MaxIron's operations stack alongside Cloud Manager, Sentinel, Diagnose and Autoheal. It is the gate for Pipelines in production, and is essential where regulated industries (utilities, oil and gas, public sector) carry strict change governance.

MaxIron Change Control — frequently asked questions

Why do we need a Maximo-specific change control product?
Generic change tools do not understand what they are looking at. Change Control speaks Maximo: configuration changes, scripts, integrations, deployments to specific estates and tenants, with approvers who actually understand what they are approving.
How does this play with our existing ITSM?
It plays nicely with it. Change Control integrates with the change records in your ITSM and gives you the Maximo-specific evidence that the ITSM ticket cannot. Your auditors get a coherent story across both systems.
What about segregation of duties?
Built in. Approvers, implementers and reviewers are role-separated, with clear evidence that the controls held for each change.
Does it slow things down?
It removes the manual ceremony around change without removing the control. Routine, low-risk changes flow through fast lanes; higher-risk changes get the right level of scrutiny. Net effect is faster, not slower.
Can it act as the gate for Pipelines and Autoheal?
Yes. Pipelines use Change Control as their approval gate for production releases. Higher-impact Autoheal playbooks request approval through Change Control before acting.
